Uber free vehicle inspection today Dec 30 until 5p at the parking lot behind Gilley’s. 1000 South Austin St, Dallas. Again this is YMMV. Some have reported success and some have not since they did not receive the email directly. But if u r close by, it doesn’t hurt to try.
This week, the city of Dallas had dispatched agents to at multiple locations. Hotels, and airports…etc. to inspect drivers and vehicles. Mainly, the purpose is to give citations. They’ll will find away to hand uber/lyft drivers citation! I had all the documents required! CLS insurance, valid Driver Permit, valid Vehicle Permit, and Valid Driver’s license with me, still, I got a citation for missing a so called “signage “: information on how to file a complaint to the city of Dallas. It should be displayed to passengers inside the vehicle . The agents said that, it’s a rule applied since 4/2015. I asked for a sample of that document to see how it looks like? Apparently, they’ve never even seen it! So y’all be careful out there!
Sorry to hear that. Did u dispute it. Technically it is for taxi drivers and not enforced for rideshare as 99% of rideshare drivers don’t have the “signage”. Were u able to fight it
